Breakfast Meeting: Planning for Same Sex Couples
This BREAKFAST Meeting will be our final education seminar of the 2014-2015 council year. Reservations are limited to Estate Planning Council members only, on a first come, first served basis. In addition, guest reservations may be accepted if space is available.
Seating is limited. Please submit your reservation as soon as possible so that we can make arrangements for food service. Due to our commitment to the Crowne Plaza, we will be unable to make a refund after a reservation has been accepted.

This presentation will discuss the implications of the Supreme Court's ruling in United States v. Windsor as it applies to same sex couples regarding income tax planning, estate planning, and planning for Social Security, retirement and health benefits. There will also be an overview of New York's Marriage Equality Act and how it impacts same sex couples regarding intestacy laws, estate planning, right of election, New York income tax, property ownership and planning for incapacity.
