This session will discuss some of the most powerful trust design strategies and techniques available to maximize client’s flexibility, control, asset protection, tax savings and privacy.The major boutique trust jurisdictions, i.e., Alaska, Delaware, Nevada, New Hampshire, South Dakota and Wyoming, will be objectively compared and discussed. Some of the key and unique differentiator state statutes that will be analyzed include Directed Trusts, Special-Purpose Entities/Trust Protector Companies, Dynasty, Trusts, Domestic Asset Protection Trusts (DAPT), Purpose Trusts, private family trust companies, beneficiary quality of trusts, privacy, premium taxes, reformation/modifications, decanting, international family statutes, etc.
